Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court ruled that the termination of the applicants from the post of Technical Grade-II (Electrical) in Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited was invalid as it contravened the principles of natural justice and the provisions of the U.P. State Power Parishad Operative Employees Cadre Service Regulations, 1995. The Court emphasized that the applicants were entitled to be re-appointed as they had fulfilled the necessary qualifications as per the advertisement dated 6th September 2014. The Court directed the respondent-Corporation to reinstate the applicants, thereby setting aside the termination letter dated 13th May 2018.
