Delhi Development Authority vs Bhagwat Singh

The Supreme Court overturned the High Court's decision declaring the acquisition of land by the Delhi Development Authority as lapsed under Section 24(2) of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013. The Court found that the High Court had erred in relying on the Pune Municipal Corporation case, as the Delhi Development Authority had established that possession of the land had been taken. Consequently, the appeal was allowed, reinstating the acquisition.
