Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court upheld the conviction of the appellants for murder under Section 302 IPC, reversing the acquittal by the Sessions Court. The court found sufficient evidence to establish that the appellants were part of an unlawful assembly that committed murder in furtherance of a common object. Consequently, the life imprisonment sentence imposed by the High Court was affirmed.
