Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court upheld the decision of the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) which dismissed a complaint by 339 flat buyers against DLF Southern Homes Pvt. Ltd. and Annabel Builders and Developers Pvt. Ltd. The Court found that there was no deficiency of service under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, as the builders had complied with their contractual obligations despite delays in possession. The Court affirmed that the buyers were only entitled to compensation as stipulated in the Apartment Buyers Agreement, thus reinforcing the contractual terms agreed upon by the parties.
