The Supreme Court addressed the issue of whether a Review Award under the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 can be passed after the initial Award has been made. The court held that once an Award is passed under Section 11, it cannot be reviewed under Section 13A, as this would undermine the finality of the Award. Consequently, the Review Award that reduced the compensation was deemed invalid, and the appellants were entitled to the originally awarded amount.
