Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court held that the sale deeds executed by the appellants were declared null and void under Section 3(1)(a) of the Andhra Pradesh Scheduled Areas Land Transfer Regulation, 1959, as they contravened the provisions of the Regulation. The Court found that the High Court failed to examine the definition of 'Transfer' as per Section 2(g) of the Regulation and did not consider certain documents submitted by the appellants. Consequently, the Court remanded the case to the High Court for a fresh decision on merits, setting aside the previous orders.
