Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court addressed the obligation of the appellants to implement the Fifth Pay Commission recommendations for employees of the Rewa Society. The Court clarified that if the appellants have extended benefits to other societies despite a notification excluding certain employees, then the Rewa Society employees should not face discrimination. Furthermore, the Court confirmed that benefits from the Sixth and Seventh Pay Commissions must be extended to these employees from the date they were granted to the appellants, with any arrears to be settled within three months.
