Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court addressed the obligation of the appellants to implement the Fifth Pay Commission recommendations for employees of the Rewa Society, clarifying that if benefits were extended to other societies despite exclusions in the Notification dated 27.04.2006, the Rewa Society employees should not face discrimination. The Court confirmed that the benefits of the Sixth and Seventh Pay Commissions must be extended to these employees from the date they were provided to Appellant No.1, with any arrears payable within three months. The appeals were disposed of with these clarifications.
