The Supreme Court upheld the High Court's decision to quash the communication dated 23.07.2013 from the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission, which denied the request to send additional names from the wait-list for the post of Sub Deputy Inspector of Schools. The Court clarified that the one-year validity of the wait-list should be computed from the initial recommendation date of 12.08.2010, not from the last recommendation. Consequently, the Court directed the appellant to forward the requisite number of candidates to the Director of Education (Basic).
