Judgment text excerpt
The Supreme Court held that the appellant, who was allotted Plot No.54 by the Ghaziabad Development Authority in 1986, is entitled to choose a new plot and pay the current market rate only for the area exceeding the original plot size of 175 sq. mtr. The Court directed the Authority to adjust the amount offered to the appellant in 2013 and to provide a fresh calculation based on the current market value. The appeal was allowed, modifying the impugned judgment accordingly.
