DELHI METRO RAIL CORPORATION LTD vs TARUN PAL SINGH

The Supreme Court examined the applicability of Section 24(1)(b) of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013, in relation to land acquisition proceedings initiated under the Land Acquisition Act, 1894. Consequently, the appeals by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. were allowed, affirming that compensation is not payable under the Act of 2013.
