The Supreme Court dismissed the appeal filed by the Delhi Administration, affirming that the issue was covered against them by prior judgments. The Court granted the appellant a period of one year to initiate fresh acquisition proceedings under Section 24(2) of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013. It was clarified that failure to initiate proceedings within this period would result in the return of physical possession of the land to the original owner.
