The Supreme Court dismissed the civil appeal filed by the tenants under the Uttar Pradesh Urban Buildings (Regulation of Letting, Rent & Eviction) Act No. 13 of 1972, holding that the Act is not applicable to trust property. The Court granted the appellants time until 30.06.2018 to vacate the premises and required them to file an undertaking within four weeks. The Court clarified that failure to comply with the undertaking could lead to contempt proceedings.
