Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court directed the respondents to consider the cases of the appellants in light of the judgment in Civil Appeal Nos. 9165-9172 of 2010, which mandated the absorption of employees of the Cement Corporation by the State Government. The Court noted that the High Court had not considered this prior judgment and, given the long duration the appellants had been out of service, ordered that similar treatment be accorded if they were found to be similarly situated. The Court emphasized that the impugned judgments should not hinder the respondents' consideration of the appellants' cases within three months.
