Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court addressed the appointment of a committee of administrators for the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and modified a clause in its previous order regarding eligibility criteria for members. The Court acknowledged the conflict of interest expressed by Mr. Fali S. Nariman and appointed Mr. Anil B. Divan to assist in recommending suitable names for the committee. The modification clarified that an eligible candidate must not have been an Office Bearer of the BCCI or a State Association for more than 9 years cumulatively.
