Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court examined the validity of the High Court's decision to quash charges against Dr. Anup Kumar Srivastava under Section 120-B IPC and Sections 7, 12, and 13(2) read with Section 13(1)(d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988. The Court held that the High Court erred in quashing the charges as the allegations of illegal gratification and conspiracy were substantiated by sufficient evidence. Consequently, the Supreme Court set aside the High Court's order and reinstated the charges against the respondent.
