The Supreme Court, exercising its jurisdiction under Article 142 of the Constitution of India, dissolved the marriage between the appellant and respondent by a decree of divorce by mutual consent under Section 13B of the Hindu Marriage Act. The Court acknowledged a Memo of Settlement dated 25.08.2017, which included terms for property settlement in favor of the respondent and their children. The Court ordered that the family settlement be registered with only the required fee and directed the completion of the transaction within four weeks.
