The Supreme Court dismissed the appeals filed by the Government of NCT of Delhi regarding land acquisition, affirming that the issue was already settled against the appellant by previous judgments. The Court granted the appellant one year to initiate fresh acquisition proceedings under Section 24(2) of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013. If no proceedings are initiated within this period, the appellant must return possession of the land to the original owners.
