Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court ruled that the admission of students to the MBBS course was conditional and dependent on the outcome of a writ petition, which was communicated to the students. The Court held that students who did not pass the NEET examination do not have a right to continue their studies or seek admission in other colleges. Consequently, the High Court's order directing the accommodation of these students in other medical colleges was set aside as it was deemed neither fair nor legal.
