DELHI DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY vs HARI PRAKASH .

The Supreme Court upheld the High Court's declaration that the land acquisition proceedings lapsed under Section 24(2) of The Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013, due to the Delhi Development Authority's failure to take possession or pay compensation for the land since 2004. The Court granted the DDA one year to initiate fresh acquisition proceedings under the 2013 Act. The appeal was dismissed without costs.
