Judgment text excerpt
The Supreme Court held that the admission of students to the MBBS course was conditional and dependent on the outcome of a writ petition, which was communicated to the students through their admission letters. The Court ruled that the students do not have a right to continue their studies or seek admission in other colleges, especially as many had not passed the NEET examination required for MBBS admission. Consequently, the Court set aside the High Court's order directing the accommodation of these students in other medical colleges, deeming it neither fair nor legal.
