The Supreme Court directed the High Court to expeditiously decide Civil Writ Petition No. 3068 of 2016 concerning the liability of the appellants to pay Urban Development Tax. The Court stayed the interim order requiring the appellants to deposit 50% of the tax and any coercive actions by the Municipal Corporation, Jaipur, until the writ petition is resolved. The appeal was disposed of with a request for timely resolution of the pending matter.
