Judgment text excerpt
The Supreme Court held that the appellant's land, acquired under Notification dated 22.05.1991, is entitled to the same land value as determined in the case of Valliyammal, which is Rs. 20 per square foot. The Court found that the High Court's fixation of Rs. 8 per square foot was incorrect and that the appellant should receive the statutory benefits accordingly. The Court directed the respondents to compute and deposit the benefits before the Executing Court within two months of the judgment's production.
