Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court held that the appellant is entitled to a revised land value of Rs. 480 per decimal, as opposed to the Collector's initial valuation of Rs. 242 per decimal, following the High Court's erroneous decision to set aside the Reference Court's valuation of Rs. 6,000 per decimal. The Court directed that if the appellant can demonstrate that similarly situated landowners received higher rates, those rates should also be applied to her. The Court mandated that the amounts due be paid within three months, ensuring all statutory benefits are included.
