Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court held that the appellant's land, acquired under Notification dated 22.05.1991, should be valued at Rs. 20 per square foot, aligning with the valuation established in 'Valliyammal and Another Vs. Special Tahsildar (Land Acquisition)' (2011) 8 SCC 91. The Court found that the appellant's land was similarly situated to lands valued at Rs. 8 per square foot in prior notifications, thus entitling the appellant to the same treatment. The Court mandated that statutory benefits be computed and deposited within two months.
