The Supreme Court upheld the interim order of the High Court allowing elections under the Kerala Co-operative Societies Act, 1969, to proceed provisionally. The Court established that the elected Managing Committee could manage day-to-day affairs but could not make policy decisions until the pending writ petitions were resolved. The appeals were disposed of with the provision that all contentions of the writ petitioners remain open for consideration by the High Court.
