DELHI DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY vs SIDDHARTH GUPTA .

The Supreme Court dismissed the appeal by the Delhi Development Authority, affirming the judgment in Civil Appeal No.8477 of 2016. The Court granted the appellant one year to initiate fresh acquisition proceedings under Section 24(2) of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013. It stipulated that if no notification under Section 11 is issued within this period, the appellant must return possession of the land to the original owner.
