ORISSA STATE HOUSING BOARD vs INDIRA ENGLISH MEDIUM SCHOOL

The Supreme Court set aside the High Court's judgment directing the Orissa State Housing Board to allot 1.55 acres of land to Indira English Medium School. The Court held that the State of Orissa is to identify alternate land for the school, contingent upon the school management obtaining necessary affiliation. The Court directed the school to apply for the identified land within one month and clarified that the land allotted must not be less than 1.55 acres.
