Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court upheld the High Court's dismissal of the writ petition challenging the order of the District Judge which set aside the probate granted for the Will dated 11.9.1984 executed by Chandrabai under Section 276 of the Indian Succession Act, 1925. The Court reaffirmed that the District Court had jurisdiction to hear the appeal based on the valuation of the property being Rs. 25,000, as established in Manohar Bapurao Sapre v. Bhaurao Tukaramji Shirbhate and Another. The Court found no merit in the appellant's claims and dismissed the appeal, affirming the lower court's decision.
