Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court held that the High Court's orders granting bail to Ram Pujan Pandey, Amukh Pandey, Jitendera Pandey, and Hare Ram Pandey under Section 302 IPC were unjustified as the charge-sheet indicated their involvement in the murder of Nagendra Pandey. The Court found that the High Court erred in concluding that no overt acts were attributed to these accused. Consequently, the Supreme Court set aside the bail orders and directed the accused to surrender to the police within two weeks.
