STATE OF UTTARAKHAND TH. SECRETARY vs KUMARI AMITA SINGH .

The Supreme Court set aside the Uttarakhand High Court's order which held that the requirement for registration with the Uttaranchal Veterinary Council violated Article 16 of the Constitution of India. The Court found that the issue required more detailed consideration and remitted the matter back to the High Court for a fresh hearing, allowing the State Public Service Commission to adhere to its original terms in the meantime. The appeal was allowed without costs.
