The Supreme Court modified the High Court's order regarding property tax demands raised by the Corporation of City of Mangalore against the auction purchaser, the appellant-company. The Court accepted the company's undertaking to pay the property tax of Rs. 20 lacs and any other liabilities related to the immovable property. It directed the appellant-company to pay the amounts due to the respondent-bank as of the auction date, and upon such payment, the bank must issue a sale certificate to the appellant-company.
