DR.PREM LATA vs GOVT. OF NCT DELHI .

The Supreme Court upheld the dismissal of Dr. Prem Lata's writ petition challenging the appointment of Mr. Rakesh Kapoor and others as Presidents of District Forums. The Court found that the appointments were valid as the Respondents had requested extensions to join their posts, which was within the authority of the Government of NCT of Delhi. The Court held that the Petitioner, being on the waiting list, had no right to claim appointment as the Respondents had complied with the necessary procedures for their appointments.
