The Supreme Court upheld the validity of the 'Special Scheme' formulated by NOIDA, affirming that under this scheme, an applicant cannot claim eligibility for two plots if they have already been allotted one. The Court clarified that the 'Special Scheme' is distinct from the 'General Scheme' and does not allow for double benefits. Consequently, the Court refused to modify the earlier order dated 30th July 2012, which restricts individuals who have previously been allotted land from benefiting under the new scheme.
