Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court held that the order of the MRTP Commission dated 13.09.2007, which directed the respondents to hand over possession of the allotted plot to the petitioners, was a consent order and could not be reviewed. The Court found that the Review Application No.16 of 2007 was filed beyond the thirty-day limit prescribed for such applications, thus rendering the subsequent order of the MRTP Commission illegal. The Court allowed the appeal, setting aside the impugned orders of the MRTP Commission and the Competition Appellate Tribunal.
