The Supreme Court held that Articles 66, 67 & 113 of the Limitation Act do not apply to rent proceedings in Himachal Pradesh, thereby reversing the High Court's affirmation of the Appellate Authority's decision which had set aside the Trial Court's eviction order under Section 14 of the H.P. Urban Rent Control Act, 1987. The Court restored the Trial Court's judgment, allowing the eviction of the tenants and granting them two years to vacate the premises. The appeal was allowed with parties bearing their respective costs.
