The Supreme Court upheld the dismissal of the appellants' appeal against the Delhi High Court's judgment regarding the title of land that was vested in the Central Government under Section 150(3) of the Delhi Land Reforms Act, 1954, following urbanization under Section 507(a) of the Delhi Municipal Corporation Act, 1957. The Court established that the land, originally belonging to the Gaon Sabha, was lawfully transferred to the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) for development as green space under Section 22(1) of the Delhi Development Act, 1957. The appellants' claim of ownership through a sale deed was rejected as they had encroached upon the land without legal title.
