Judgment text excerpt
The Supreme Court held that the recognition granted to Millia Kaneez Fatima Women's Primary Teachers Training College by the State Government on 15.12.1994 was valid for the academic sessions 1985-1995, despite the cancellation of recognition in 1999, which was later quashed by the High Court. The Court emphasized that under the National Council for Teacher Education Act, 1993, the appellants were entitled to appear for the teachers training examination as they had pursued their training during the recognized period. The Court overturned the High Court's dismissal of the appellants' petitions, allowing them to take the examination.
