The Supreme Court directed the appellant, United India Insurance Co. Ltd., to allow the respondents-claimants to withdraw amounts of Rs.1,17,907/- and Rs.93,147/- deposited in relation to civil appeals arising from a motor accident claim. The Court mandated Sudesh Kumar, the vehicle owner, to deposit 1/3rd of the compensation awarded by the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, amounting to Rs.3,61,801/-, in two installments, with interest applicable in case of default. The appeals were disposed of with these directions.
