Judgment text excerpt
The Supreme Court addressed the eligibility of the appellant, a contract-based Assistant Surgeon, to appear in the Pre-P.G. Examination under the Madhya Pradesh Medical and Dental Post-Graduate Course Entrance Examination Rules, 2007. The Court held that the appellant was eligible as she had been regularized under the Madhya Pradesh Regularisation of Public Health and Family Welfare Medical Cadre Contract Appointment Rules, 2005, prior to the examination. The Court emphasized that the delay in regularization should not prejudice her rights as an in-service candidate, thus allowing her admission to the Post-Graduate course.
