Judgment text excerpt
The Patna High Court held that the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) must conduct a re-evaluation of the answer sheets of the respondent No.1, as the learned Single Judge had previously found that she was entitled to two additional marks. The Division Bench emphasized that the respondent had approached the court promptly after the results were published and should not be penalized for delays in the judicial process. Consequently, the court directed the CBSE to admit the respondent No.1 in the next academic session based on the corrected evaluation of her marks.
