Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court upheld the High Court's dismissal of the appellant's Second Appeal, affirming that the unregistered and unstamped document dated 27.10.1981 did not confer any rights to the appellant over the suit property. The Court reiterated that for a partition deed to be valid, it must be duly executed, stamped, and registered as per the Transfer of Property Act. The Court concluded that the respondents, as absolute owners by virtue of the Will, were entitled to evict the appellant from the property.
