COLLECTOR, PHAGWARA vs BRAHM DUTT

The Court upheld the High Court's finding that the respondents had established ownership through adverse possession, having been in continuous possession for over 30 years, and that their possession was authorized by a grant from the Maharaja of Kapurthala. Consequently, the appeals by the Punjab Government were dismissed, affirming the High Court's ruling.
