Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court set aside the Delhi High Court's judgment and the order terminating the distributorship of Indane Gas held by appellant No. 2, a war widow, under the premise that she had lost control of the partnership firm. The Court found that despite her ill health, she retained 51% shares and had received prior approval for the partnership reconstitution. The Court emphasized the need for a humanitarian approach in cases involving widows and directed the respondents to supply gas cylinders as per the agreement dated 15.2.2007.
