S.G.Rajgopalan Prabhu & Ors vs Veena & Anr

The Supreme Court, in Transfer Petition (Crl.) No. 637 of 2009, acknowledged a settlement reached between the parties, wherein the petitioners agreed to pay Rs. 40 lacs to the respondent, Mrs. Veena Rao, in full and final settlement of all claims. The Court quashed several pending cases, including a criminal case and petitions under the Domestic Violence Act, 2005 and Section 125 CrPC, due to the compromise. Additionally, the Court granted a decree of divorce by mutual consent, thereby disposing of the transfer petition.
