Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court dismissed the Special Leave Petitions challenging the Punjab & Haryana High Court's order which upheld the issuance of process against the petitioner under Sections 7, 8, 9, 11, and 13 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, and Section 420 IPC. The Court held that the absence of sanction for prosecution does not invalidate the subsequent complaints, and reiterated that dismissal of a complaint for non-filing of process fee does not preclude further complaints on the same facts. The Court found no merit in the petitioner's arguments regarding abuse of process and upheld the lower court's decisions.
