Judgment text excerpt

The High Court upheld the conviction of the appellants under Section 324 IPC for causing hurt but allowed their release after the complainant filed an affidavit stating that the matter was amicably settled. The Court noted that the appellants had already served more than seven months of imprisonment and deemed it appropriate to release them in light of the compounding of the offence. Consequently, the appeals were disposed of, and the appellants were directed to be released forthwith if not required in any other case.
