Judgment text excerpt
The Supreme Court, in Civil Appeal No. 4187 of 2009, held that only candidates securing more than 50% in the Special Recruitment Test would be qualified for recruitment as Computer Instructors, while those scoring between 35% and 50% would be allowed to retake the test without a B.Ed. degree as a one-time exception. The Court directed the State Government to conduct a new recruitment test adhering to existing appointment rules and reservation policies. The judgment was clarified to correct certain figures and to allow the State Government to recruit based on seniority from the Employment Exchange.
