The Supreme Court upheld the conviction of A-1 to A-4, A-6, A-7, A-9 to A-13 for offences under Section 302 IPC and Section 302 read with Section 149 IPC, as well as under Section 307 IPC and Sections 3 and 5 of the Explosive Substances Act, 1908. The Court found that the evidence established a conspiracy and a coordinated attack on the deceased, resulting in his death due to bomb explosions. The appeal by the State was allowed, affirming the guilt of the accused for their involvement in the planned murder and violent assault.
