Judgment text excerpt

The Supreme Court upheld the High Court's conditional decree requiring the tenant to deposit Rs.10,000 as compensation within four months, as per Clause (M) of Sub-section (1) of Section 12 of the Madhya Pradesh Accommodation Control Act. The Court ruled that an inquiry into whether the amount was received by a maid servant was unnecessary since the tenant failed to deposit the amount in the trial court. Consequently, the Court directed the Executing Court to proceed with the execution of the decree dated 4th May 2006, while allowing for the inquiry to continue.
